Announcements Update on Coach Davis

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that one of our teachers, Coach Davis, became very ill before Thanksgiving break. His illness was much more serious than first thought and he passed away this past Saturday. We have made grief counselors available for our students and staff as we all work through the grieving process and begin to heal our hearts. While we are all devastated, we know that Coach would want us to carry on as normal.

Alee Academy is hopeful to open for students on Tuesday, September 19 as Lake County School plans to, however our school is still without power. We will continue to post updates throughout the weekend with our plans for reopening to students. Teachers & staff should plan to return on Monday, September 18th to get everything ready for the students' possible return on Tuesday.

All Lake County public schools and district offices will remain closed through Friday, Sept. 15, as we continue post-Hurricane Irma restoration/repair efforts. All extracurricular activities, including sports practices, are canceled for the week as well. Students should not report to school and most employees are not expected to report to work.
