AdvancED is a globally recognized organization that conducts comprehensive external reviews of educational institutions and systems. With a research-based framework, AdvancED is dedicated to supporting schools, districts, and educators in their journey of continuous improvement. Currently, AdvancED serves 34,000 educational institutions across 70 nations, positively impacting the learning experiences of over 20 million students.
In 2006, AdvancED was established as a result of the merger between the Pre K-12 divisions of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI). In 2012, the organization expanded further by incorporating the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC).
