His illness was much more serious than first thought and he passed away this past Saturday. We have made grief counselors available for our students and staff as we all work through the grieving process and begin to heal our hearts. The moon will pass between the sun and Earth, fully or partially blocking the sun, making it look like early evening in the middle of the day. In Florida, the solar eclipse will be at about 85 percent totality, which means the moon will almost completely cover the sun. Some scientists have said this won’t happen again in Florida until 2045! People of all ages around the country are making plans to experience this rare event.
