Out of Field Teachers
Dear Parents/Guardians,
In Florida, educators are required to meet specific certification and training requirements. Under ESSA (the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015), additional expectations were put in place for teachers to be considered “in field.” This message is provided to help you stay informed about the current status of your child’s teacher(s).
While all of our teachers are certified to teach, some may be working toward additional certification in order to meet “in-field” requirements. You also have the right to request information about the professional qualifications of the teachers and paraprofessionals who work with your child. If you would like to request this information, please contact the school—federal law requires us to provide it in a timely manner.
