Good Evening Fam-Alee, this is your principal, Mrs. Emerick calling with your week at a glance for the week of January 22.
This week we will be taking a few seniors on a trip to Lake Technical College on Wednesday. These seniors have expressed interest in attending Lake Tech after graduation so this is an opportunity for them to better understand the programs available. On Thursday of this week, Lake Sumter State College will visit our campus and speak with students about the various programs available there. We will schedule another visit to Lake Tech as well as a tour of Lake Sumter after Spring Break. We will begin working with all graduating seniors on completing their FAFSA and other scholarship applications. Parents, we will need your help in providing tax information for those students applying for financial aid.
We have an awesome field trip coming up on February 8th and we want everyone to attend! Students have been challenged to get to at least 30% complete in all of their Edgenuity classes by February 7th. We will also be doing a fundraiser so the cost of the trip will be very minimal, if not free! Students worked very hard last week and I am excited to see that again this week!
The morning temperatures are expected to be chilly this week but it will quickly warm up. Students are encouraged to dress warm if waiting for the bus but we are back to our normal dress code starting tomorrow.
