Weekly Announcements

Oct 22, 2023

On Monday, we will have a guest from Career Source visit our campus. Students ages 18 and older will be invited to join Mrs. Bob and a representative from Career Source to learn information that will help them along their path to a successful future.

Our next Blood Drive is coming up on Wednesday, October 25 from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm . Sign ups and permission forms are available from Mrs. Pierce. Students ages 17 and up do not need parent permission, however if we have any 16 year old students that would like to donate, a permission form must be signed by a parent or guardian at the time of the donation. This blood drive is not just for students! Parents, guardians, friends, and family, you can sign up too! All you need to do is stop by and donate. You can also email Mrs. Pierce if you would like to schedule an appointment.

There were many students that earned Cs or higher in all of their courses for the 1st quarter of this school year. We are very proud of each of you and it is definitely something to be celebrated. These students and the students that have had perfect attendance for the entire 1st quarter will be celebrating with some well deserved R & R and a little sweet treat on Tuesday!

We will be administering the PSAT / NMSQT on Thursday, October 26 first thing in the morning. This test will be offered to students in grades 9-11 and is a great opportunity to meet testing requirements for graduation! Just think, if you meet the reading and math testing requirements now, you don’t have to worry about it later!

And a couple of reminders:

Students that were invited to attend the field trip to the Renaissance Faire with Mr. Stewart remember that your permission form and money are both due to back to Mr. Stewart n later than October 30th.

And finally, to our Powerhouse group - we will be attending both Monday and Thursday at 12:45 this week.

We are hoping to reschedule our Title 1 Annual Meeting for the first full week of November. We will provide the specific date as soon as the final details are confirmed.

That’s all for now! Have a great rest of your Sunday. Students and staff, we will see you tomorrow!
