Good Evening Fam-Alee,
We had a great first full week of school. Students that returned their technology agreements received their Chromebooks and will begin their Edgenuity program tomorrow. If your student did not return their agreement and all other required documents that were sent home, please be sure to get them back to us ASAP. Almost all of our courses use Edgenuity for the curriculum, so it is imperative for students to have a Chromebook assigned as soon as possible.
Students will be given the link to the Schedule Request Form tomorrow if there are questions or courses that your student would like to change, this form will need to be completed. All requests will be handled as quickly as possible.
Parents, please remember that students should remain in school all day unless they have an internship scheduled. Attendance is extremely important and we want all students to have as much access as possible to their coursework with their teachers’ right there to help.
I also need to remind ALL students and parents that dress code violations will begin being issued for students that arrive to school out of uniform or are not compliant with our dress code. The dress code expectations are listed in the parent/student handbook. Students are expected to wear an Alee Academy t-shirt that is unaltered. Acceptable bottoms are jeans, dress pants, denim or dress shorts. Shorts must be no shorter than 2-3 inches above the knee. Basketball shorts, sweatpants, and sweatpant material shorts are not acceptable. Leggings are also not acceptable. One of our main goals is to help prepare our students for the world of work that awaits them and many jobs have dress code requirements and expectations. Parents, please help us keep your student in school by reminding them to be in dress code when they leave the house each morning.
