Announcements - 1/7/2020

Jan 07, 2020

Good Evening Parents & Students! This is Mrs. Emerick. I wanted to take a moment to call to welcome you back for the second semester of the school year. Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7, 2020 all students will receive a new schedule for the new semester. Mrs. Daniel and I spent several hours checking and rechecking credits to ensure that all students have the classes they need to be productive and finish this school year strong. Mrs. Marshall and I will be at the bus loop in the morning with the new schedules.

We will resume our after school tutoring tomorrow as well. Tutoring for English & History courses is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays, Math and Science is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students can attend everyday or days that will benefit them most. We begin tutoring immediately after regular dismissal at 12:20 and it ends at 2:15. Parents, please be sure that you have made arrangements for your student to be picked up promptly at 2:15. Students are encouraged to use this time to work with their teachers to make up work, get additional help in areas they are struggling in, or work on their credit recovery classes they have been assigned. This is not a social event and students that misuse this opportunity will be asked to leave and not return. Please remember that after school tutoring is available for students to work IN ADDITION to their regular class assignments. Students, remember to use your class time wisely and be productive while in your scheduled classes.

On a different note, I want to thank all of our students and staff for your cooperation and patience during the lockdown that occurred just as we were dismissing for winter break. We are grateful for your participation in the practice drills we have executed so far this year. While we hope that we never have to endure another lockdown, we are confident that our staff and students will follow the safety protocols.

Thank you so much for your time this evening. I look forward to see you all tomorrow morning!
