Academic Performance / School Improvement Rating Report / School Grade

The Accountability Team gathers, edits, produces, and submits student data for reporting to the Florida Department of Education. The team audits and reconciles student information to ensure state and local reporting entities utilize accurate data in evaluations, initiatives, and mandates, including school grades and graduation rates as well as provides data in a format conducive to assisting with school improvement plans and increasing student achievement. The team also supports school improvement plan reporting, district accreditation, School Advisory Councils, the District’s Citizen’s Advisory Council.

Conflict Resolution / Appeal Process

It is the goal of the school to work collaboratively with parents to resolve concerns or disputes that may arise. Parents are encouraged to first discuss their concerns with their child’s respective teacher. Should a resolution not be finalized, parents should seek resolution in the following order:

  1. Administrative Dean
  2. Director
  3. Governing Board Members

Disputes with parents / guardians will be handled in a professional manner, with dignity and respect.

Programs Offered

Alee Academy offers a core curriculum of English, math, science, social studies, business, transition to work and life management, with a special focus on improving skills necessary to pass the standard achievement tests.

Admissions

Alee Academy agrees to enroll an eligible student by accepting a timely application, unless the number of applications exceeds the capacity of the program, class, building, or grade level. In such case, the applicants shall have an equal chance of being selected through a random lottery. Preference may be given to siblings of students enrolled in the school.

Alee Academy will abide by the LCS Code of Student Conduct & Policy Guide. A copy of the LCS Student Code of Conduct & Policy Guide can be found through online here.

Seating Capacity

As of April 1, 2024 our seat capacity for 2023-2024 is 200 students.

Charter School Lottery Policy

If there is enough room for every interested student, the school does not need to hold a lottery.

If a lottery is necessary, the charter school will begin its random drawing process, either handling the applications manually or using a computer program. Alee Academy may give preference to returning students, students with siblings attending the school, and certain at-risk groups.

Hope Scholarship / Anti-Bullying Act

The Hope Scholarship is for students in grades kindergarten through 12 who are enrolled in a Florida public school and have been bullied, harassed, assaulted, threatened and or other violent acts to transfer to another public school or enroll in an approved private school.
