Good Evening Fam-Alee! Here is your week at a glance for the week of February 26, 2024.
It’s the last week of February! There are only 8 days of school before Spring Break. That means our seniors have only 32 school days left before all of their course work has to be done! All other students not graduating have 40 days before this school year is over. It’s very hard to believe this year has gone by so fast. I tell you this because there’s alot left to do in a very short time. Parents, I ask that you help keep your student on track so they can finish this year strong.
A reminder for all students regarding chromebooks, they are not to be taken from campus without permission from me. Everyone has signed a technology agreement agreeing to be responsible for their chromebook, which is $250.00 to replace. Students, if you have been working diligently while you’re at school, I am happy to give you permission to take your chromebook home. Let’s be sure to use your time wisely.
We are currently in the testing window for FSA ELA Retakes and Algebra 1 EOC retakes. Any student that requires either of these to fill their graduation requirements will be called to take either or both of these tests. Students must be at school on time to ensure they have enough time to complete their test or tests. We will be offering the SAT at our school beginning on March 4 for 11th grade student, free of charge. The specific days will be announced. Students in other grades may be eligible to obtain a waiver to take their ACT or SAT at a site other than our school. Students need to see Mrs. Burnett for information regarding fee waivers and test dates and & locations.
Wednesday morning students & staff can pre-order pizza for lunch on Thursday. Pizza is $2 a slice and we only accept cash. Drinks will also be available for purchase.
Our next field trip is scheduled for the end of March. Students will be expected to be 60% complete in their Edgenuity classes so I hope every student is working hard over the next few weeks!
Looking ahead to March, our last senior parent night is scheduled for March 19th. Parents please look for the flyer with all the details that will be coming home soon. We request that you RSVP so we know we’ll have enough food.
