Weekly Announcements

Oct 23, 2022

Good Evening parents, students and staff. This is Mrs. Emerick with our weekly announcements for October 24th.

This week kicks off Red Ribbon Week! Students and staff will be showing our support and commitment to staying drug free with our first dress down week of the year. We hope that everyone will comply with appropriate dress code items as they pertain to the theme of the week so we can offer dress down days or weeks periodically throughout the remainder of the school year.

  • Tomorrow’s theme is Stop Drug Use - Students and staff should wear RED.
  • Tuesday is Team up Against Drugs - Students and staff should wear a favorite sports team shirt.
  • Wednesday is Wake up Wednesday - Wear your PJs
  • Thursday is Lei off Drugs - Students and staff are encouraged to wear Hawaiian or Tropical themed clothing.

While our school uniform is not required this week in celebration of Red Ribbon Week, students must adhere to the LCS dress code policy. All clothing worn this week must be appropriate for school. I am confident that our students will be responsible in choosing their clothes for the week and I am looking forward to seeing some great outfits!

We will also take pre-orders for pizza tomorrow! Pizza must be pre-ordered and paid for tomorrow during lunch. Each slice is $2.00 and we will be offering cheese and pepperoni pizza on Tuesdays. Again, pizza will be offered on Tuesdays each week starting this week and must be paid for on Monday during lunch.

Students should have or will be receiving their invitation to the Gainesville field trip by tomorrow from Mr. Clawson . Please be sure that you read all of the information surrounding this field trip and contact Mr. Clawson if you have any questions.

Mr. Stewart is still gathering the information and developing the list of students eligible for the Renn Faire field trip. That information will be coming home in the next few weeks.

Have a great rest of your Sunday.
