Good Afternoon Alee Academy Family, this is Mrs. Emerick with your weekly announcements for the week of October 3, 2022.
I hope all of you remained safe during the hurricane and had minimal, if any, damage to your homes and property. Our school weathered the storm well, however we do have a couple of trees down, some roof damage, and we lost power for a few days. All in all, we are very fortunate that Lake County was not as devastated as our neighbors in southwest Florida. Please keep all those that have been affected by Hurricane Ian in your thoughts as the clean up in south Florida will take a long time.
We will be opening the school tomorrow with a few changes in classrooms due to some of the storm damage. We will also be working this week to ensure that we get the Algebra 1 EOC retake tests completed as the deadline for this retake window is fast approaching.
While I know that this week has been a challenge, it is important that students return to school and we all return to a sense of normalcy. I look forward to seeing our staff and students tomorrow! Enjoy the rest of this beautiful Sunday.
