I hope you all have enjoyed this beautiful weekend. Here are a few announcements for the upcoming week.
As of today, Mr. Vaughn’s bus route for Tavares, Mt. Dora, Sorrento students will be operating tomorrow and Tuesday, March 28th and 29th. While this is great because we have definitely missed these kiddos, unfortunately, we will not have a driver for that route on Wednesday and Thursday. If we are fortunate enough to get a substitute driver for Wednesday and Thursday, I will let you know. I truly hope that we will have Mr. Vaughn back next week.
Student and staff picture day will be this Wednesday, 3/30/22. All students and staff will be photographed. Students can come to school in an outfit of their choice, however, all choice clothing must still be school appropriate. Students will have the ability to purchase their pictures once they are available from the photographer.
We will be offering the PERT test this week. This test will be provided to all seniors that have not passed the Algebra 1 EOC. Parents, please encourage your student to come to school and be ready to test. The concordance score can be used to meet the requirements for graduation.
Our next blood drive will be on Wednesday, April 20. Parent permission forms will be made available to students that are 16 years old that wish to donate. We are inviting the public to donate as well! Please contact Ms. Emerick if you would like to schedule an appointment between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
A quick reminder to our student drivers, while we are nearing the end of the school year, if you have not purchased a parking pass, you are required to do so. There are several new students that have started driving to school and we must have them tagged for security purposes. If student have not yet purchased a parking pass for this school year, they must bring their license, registration, and proof of insurance to Mrs. Emerick along with $10.00 by Wednesday, March 31st.
An update for all graduates: Grad Bash has been rescheduled to Friday, April 8th. The ticket cost is $90.00. Graduates are permitted to invite a guest to attend this event, however, the guest must be under the age of 21 and a guest form must be completed and turned in no later than Friday, April 1st. Guests do not have to be enrolled at Alee Academy. Guest ticket prices are the same, $90.00. Universal’s Grad Bash is an exclusive event for graduating seniors across the state and welcomes graduates from other states as well. The bus will leave at 5:00 p.m. and return to Alee Academy at approximately 3:00 a.m. Students that attend MUST have a parent or guardian waiting at the school for us when we return. If your student is planning to attend this year’s event, all tickets must be paid in full no later than 12:00 on Friday, April 1st to allow ample time to purchase tickets and arrange for transportation.
