Hello Alee Family! Here are some important announcements as we head back to school tomorrow, March 21, 2022.
First, I hope you all had a restful Spring Break and are ready to take on the last quarter of this school year! It is hard to believe the year is almost over. Unfortunately the break did not come without some health issues for a few of our staff. With that being said, Mr. Vaughn’s bus will not be running tomorrow. I am hopeful we will have him back on Tuesday. I will definitely keep you updated on transportation for the Tavares, Mt. Dora, Sorrento, and parts of our Eustis area. As of today, students that ride Mr. Vaughn’s bus will need to work remotely or have a parent/guardian drop off and pick up on Monday, March 21, 2022. Please watch our website and Facebook page for updates regarding this bus route for Tuesday. As in the past, students should be checking in with their teachers via email while they are working from home. I sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
As mentioned, this is the last quarter of this school year so there is a lot ahead for us! Students will be taking their LSA tests in Biology, Algebra 1, Geometry, and US History this week. In a couple weeks, FSA and EOC testing will begin. This is the time of year that we have to rely on students keeping up with their assignments on APEX and Google Classroom because they will be pulled for testing and will miss some of their classes periodically. Parents, we could really use your help in making sure your student is present at school each day so they are able to take their tests and work with their teachers on finishing their courses. These next 9 weeks are so important! I also wanted to remind students that we are still monitoring attendance for our Attendance BINGO. Before we left for Spring Break, students that had been present and were recognized as being on track in their classes enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Takis of Eustis . We appreciate their donation of baked ziti, Greek salad, and garlic bread. Ms. Jonee is working very hard to ensure that the luncheon for March will be another fun and yummy celebration.
We will host another blood drive in the coming weeks as well. Please continue to watch our website and Facebook page for the date and time.
On Saturday, April 2nd, the City of Eustis will be hosting the 8th
Annual Amazing Race for Charity
.
Alee Academy is excited to volunteer our buses to transport the racers
through the city. There is still time to sign up to race! If you and
your student would like to participate in the race or as a race
volunteer, here is the link to sign up
.
If you are planning to join the race, please use code ALEE2022
for
$25.00 off the registration fee.
I look forward to seeing our kids bright and smiling faces tomorrow! Enjoy the rest of this beautiful Sunday!
