Happy Sunday! Here are your weekly announcements for February 28, 2022.
This week we will continue FSA ELA and Algebra 1 retake testing. Students should be prepared to test everyday if they need to take either or both of these retake tests. These tests are very important and must be taken seriously. Please encourage your student to get a good night sleep and come to school with a positive attitude!
This week, graduating seniors will be receiving an invitation to attend our annual Senior Parent Event . This year the event will be held in the school’s testing center on Wednesday, March 9th at 5:30. We will be serving sandwiches and chips so please be sure to RSVP. You can find the RSVP details on the invitation. There are several juniors that have been working very hard to earn their place on the graduation stage this year so those students will also receive the event invitation. The invitation will be sent home this week so please be watching for it!
Parents, I want to thank you for your help with the hoodie issue. We felt a bit of push back from the students on Tuesday, however, the rest of the week went well. As a reminder, students are allowed to wear a non-hooded sweatshirt, non-hooded jacket OVER their Alee t-shirt. They can also wear a long sleeve shirt UNDER their Alee-t-shirt.
This week is National Literacy Week and Dr. Seuss’s birthday so to celebrate, we are encouraging students to pick up a book and read! Bring a book from home, choose one from the classroom libraries, or visit the local library. Books help us travel into another world and learn new things. Sometimes books help us escape our reality, if only for a brief time. Tickets will be randomly passed out to students that are reading this week!
We are also preparing for our monthly attendance luncheon! Remember, students that are in attendance every day for the month of February will be invited.
Spring Break begins on Friday March 11th. School will resume on Monday March 21st. The campus will be closed on Friday, March 11th to students. That is the end of the 3rd quarter and a teacher work day.
