Good Afternoon Parents, Students, and Staff!
This is a short week! School is closed Thursday to celebrate Veteran’s Day and Friday, our staff will be attending an off-site training so the campus will be closed on Friday 11/12/2021.
Progress reports will be available on Skyward on Tuesday after 4:00 pm.
I am excited to announce that we had 25 students enjoy the Attendance Incentive Luncheon last Monday ! This month I hope we have twice as many students that will enjoy the luncheon on December 2nd.
This week, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:15-3:45 we will have afterschool tutoring for English and Math. Students that are interested, please take a moment to complete the Google Form that is being sent by email . Students will need to complete the Google Form in order to attend tutoring.
After spending the weekend reviewing all of our students’ schedules to ensure they are assigned to the correct courses, I had to make some changes to both teacher assignments and student schedules. Mrs. Murray has been moved from English to Intensive Reading which is her passion and Mr. Watt will now be teaching English 2 and English 4, which is also his preference. I have also added an additional class called Critical Thinking and Career Research. Please know that as an alternative school, our primary focus is making sure students have what they need to get back on track so sometimes these changes are needed but not always popular with our students.
Because of the cooler temperatures this week and because I appreciate our students’ flexibility with all of the changes, I am going to allow hoodies! Students, please be sure that you do not have the hood on your head. If everyone can follow this request, I will likely allow hoodies as part of the dress code. Remember that a school t-shirt is required under any hoodie. Let’s give it a try this week and see what happens!
