Good evening parents and students, I’m writing to share about our weekly events for the week of September 30th through October 4th. Tomorrow, September 30th we are welcoming in Fall by wearing camouflage from head-to-toe students and staff are permitted to wear camouflage in any color or pattern. Hoodies are permitted for this dress down day however, students please remember when you are inside the building your hood cannot be on your head. As with all dress down days outfits must still be in compliance with Lake County schools dress code. Slippers, leggings, and sweatpants are not allowed. On Thursday, October 3rd our second session students will be participating in our fall Field Day activities and on Friday, October 4th our first session students will be participating in the fall field activities.
There are a few other announcements for the upcoming weeks that I’d like to mention as well. On Tuesday, October 8th we will have Griffith photographers at our school for fall picture day. Students are being asked to dress their best on this day. All students will be photographed. A flyer will come home later this week with more information. Our annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be on Friday, October 18th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in our school testing center. Tickets are on sale now from any staff or student for $10 each. Each meal includes spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs, garlic bread, salad and a cookie. Drinks and other desserts will also be available for an additional purchase. One final thing. We would like to thank Umatilla High School for inviting us to participate in their homecoming parade last Thursday evening. We all had a wonderful time sharing information about Alee Academy with our community. A big thank you to all of the students and staff for working so hard on the banners and signs and for showing your school spirit. We are looking forward to a great week! Will see you tomorrow all dressed up in your camouflage!
