We have been closely monitoring the path of Hurricane Dorian and working directly with Lake County Emergency Management. Based on their guidance we an confirm that schools will be closed on Tuesday, Sept 3, and Wednesday, Sept. 4.
Additionally, Lake County Emergency Management has announced that emergency shelters will open at noon Monday, 9/2/19, at six of our schools. Mount Dora High is designated as a public shelter. Our public and pet friendly shelters are Round Lake and Spring Creek Elementary, Umatilla Elementary and Lost Lake Elementary.
We will continue to monitor the storm and rely on guidance from Lake County Emergency Management as we move forward. If there are any updates, we will share them with a phone call to parents and post on our social media and web sites.
