Good evening parents students and staff, The Florida Department of Education has recommended that schools remain closed through at least Friday May 1st. Distance learning will continue for Alee Academy and all of Lake County during this time. We made it through the first day of this new learning adventure with only a few expected hiccups. Tomorrow will be better! Soon, this adventure will become a routine. While it is not the same as being in person, we are happy to have zoom so we can still see and hear each other.
Device Distribution If you have not yet spoken with someone from Alee Academy, please send the answers to the questions below to Mrs. Emerick via email ([email protected]) This information is imperative to ensure that you are able to continue working on APEX during this time of distance learning. Do you have an electronic device capable of connecting to the internet? Do you have access to the internet? Type out your email address (student’s email) What city do you live in?
Attention Parents & Students With the recent update from Governor DeSantis on COVID-19 in regards to school closures, all K-12 public schools will remain closed through April 15th. Teachers are required to provide the instructional hours as per FLDOE expectations and students are expected to continue learning virtually. Alee Academy will be making contact with all parents & students beginning next week to ensure everyone has the opportunity to continue receiving their education.
We ask that you stay vigilant about your health. Get to the doctor/hospital if you have any type of fever or are not feeling well. Stay tuned into our Facebook page and website for information about Covid 19 and the impact it may have on our schools and communities. As with all other school closures, we will follow the district’s lead in this situation. lake.k12.fl.us
