View on YouTube Good evening parents and students this is Miss Emerick. Just a reminder that tomorrow November 4th 2019 we will begin our after school tutoring. Tutoring begins as soon as all students have been dismissed and ends promptly at 2:15. Unfortunately we are unable to provide transportation home after tutoring so students will need to arrange for transportation at 2:15. Tutoring is available Monday through Thursday.

Tomorrow, Monday, October 28th is National Chocolate Day! To celebrate, we invite you to represent your favorite kind of chocolate. If you love milk chocolate or dark chocolate, wear a shade of brown shirt but if you prefer white chocolate, please wear a white shirt.

Title 1 Tutoring

Title 1 After School Tutoring begins Monday November 4, 2019. All students are encouraged to attend. This is a perfect opportunity for students to strengthen their skills in reading, math, and science. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide transportation at the conclusion of the tutoring session each day, so transportation will be the responsibility of the student, parent and/or guardian. Please contact Ms. Emerick for more information or to sign up!

View on YouTube This week will begin with bringing awareness to Breast Cancer and wearing pink tomorrow! Please show your support of those that are fighting breast cancer as well as those that have survived. On Wednesday, we will join Lake County Schools once again and unite against bullying by wearing Orange. Bullying has no place in our schools and we need to all step up and show our support to stop this behavior.

View on YouTube Good evening parents and student! I wanted to remind you that tomorrow we will host another blood drive on our campus from 7:30am to 1pm. Please be sure that you drink plenty of water tonight and eat a healthy breakfast. If you have not yet scheduled your appointment it’s not too late. Please see Miss Jenkins first thing in the morning and we will be sure to get you on the Big Red Bus before dismissal.

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

We are having our annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Friday October 18, 2019 from 5-7 pm. Tickets are available from staff, students, or in the school office for $10.00 each. Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, and salad. Drinks and desserts will be available for an small additional fee. Please come out and support our school. All contributions will help make graduation and other expenses more affordable for our students.

View on YouTube Good Evening Alee Academy family, I hope you have had a great weekend. We have a few events this week. Tomorrow, Monday, October 7th, we are going to begin Bullying Prevention Month by asking everyone to wear BLUE. Students may wear a non-dress code shirt that is mostly blue tomorrow - remember that it must be Lake County School appropriate. Bottoms must still be in Alee dress code.

View on YouTube Good evening parents and students, I’m writing to share about our weekly events for the week of September 30th through October 4th. Tomorrow, September 30th we are welcoming in Fall by wearing camouflage from head-to-toe students and staff are permitted to wear camouflage in any color or pattern. Hoodies are permitted for this dress down day however, students please remember when you are inside the building your hood cannot be on your head.

On Tuesday morning, Lake County Schools Superintendent Diane Kornegay and State Representative Jennifer Sullivan will be visiting our school. Rep. Sullivan is anxious to see what Alee Academy is all about and we are excited to show her all of the good things Alee has to offer the students of Lake County.
