Beta Release of New 2017-2018 School and District Report Cards

The department is excited to announce the release of the beta version of Florida’s education reports portal, EduData (edudata.fldoe.org), which includes the 2017-18 School and District Report Cards. Redesigned to meet the requirements outlined in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), the report cards will serve as a valuable resource for understanding important information about Florida’s districts and schools, and we look forward to this opportunity to receive input on their usability.

Hiring Title 1 Math Tutor

Alee Academy is looking to hire a Title 1 Math Tutor for select Saturdays starting March 9th through May 18th. The hours will be 8am - 12:00 pm. Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

We are having our annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Friday February 8, 2019 from 5-7 pm. Tickets are available from staff, students, or in the school office for $7.00 each. Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, and salad. Drinks and desserts will be available for an small additional fee. Please come out and support our school. All contributions will help make graduation and other expenses more affordable for our students.

Hope Scholarship

Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, a student enrolled in a Florida public school in kindergarten through grade 12 who has been subjected to an incident of battery; harassment; hazing; bullying; kidnapping; physical attack; robbery; sexual offenses, harassment, assault, or battery; threat or intimidation; or fighting at school the opportunity to transfer to another public school with capacity or enroll in an approved private school under the Hope Scholarship. The law provides for eligible sales tax contributions from the purchase of a motor vehicle to eligible nonprofit scholarship funding organizations (SFOs).

Water Outage Update

This is to update you on the water outage reported earlier today. The water has been restored to our school so classes will resume tomorrow for both sessions 1 and 2. We have been advised by the Eustis Water Department that the repair is temporary so we will likely experience a water outage in the near future when the permanent repair is underway. We will advise you when we have more information.

SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test

Download Letter as PDF Alee Academy will administer the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test to 10th grade students on October 10, 2018. This test is used as a counseling and diagnostic tool which can also be used to get students to start thinking about advanced coursework and college/career planning. Car Wash Fundraiser

On Friday, October 5th, we will hold our first car wash for the year! Please help us to help students pay for their school needs – prom tickets, graduation cap/gown, grad bash, Washington DC trip, or even school t-shirts – many of our students cannot afford to attend the typical high school experiences without some extra help. Price is by donation, nothing set and no minimum – we appreciate all of your generosity.
