School Closure Update

All Lake County public schools and district offices will remain closed through Friday, Sept. 15, as we continue post-Hurricane Irma restoration/repair efforts. All extracurricular activities, including sports practices, are canceled for the week as well. Students should not report to school and most employees are not expected to report to work.

Maintenance, Custodial, Grounds and Food Service employees may be needed to help prepare our facilities for reopening. These employees should contact their immediate supervisor for direction.

Many of our buildings still have no electricity. Some phones are down and the internet is working sporadically. Everyone is working diligently to get things back in order as quickly as possible.

We will provide updates by phone, web site and social media over the weekend regarding school operations for next week.
